HISPANIC ECS FUND SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS 2014
The Hispanic Educational, Cultural and Scholarship Fund offers scholarships of $1,000. These scholarships are recognition of a student’s overall achievements, and are available to Hispanic/Latino students that are permanent residents in the Greater St. Louis area (includes Missouri and Illinois) enrolled in post-secondary course work or trade school in the fall 2014. The Hispanic ECS Fund and The Hispanic Scholarship Alliance presented and sponsored the 8th Annual Joint Scholarship Ceremony on July 25th, 2014. Scholarship Committee Mr. Jay Anderson presents the scholarship to Marianna Leon Pastore who attends SLU Doisy College of Health Sciences.
Board Member Carlos Cuartas presents the HECSF Scholarship to Leticia Gonzalez who is attending Truman State University majoring in Biology.
Board Member Carlos Cuartas presents the HECSF Scholarship to Juan Remolina, who attends Missouri University of Science & Technology in Rolla studying Physic, Mathematics and Economics with a 4.0 GPA.
President Rafael Nun presents a double scholarship, HECSF Scholarship along with Mr. Carlos Alarcon from the Venezuelan Association of Missouri, to Yulkendy Valdez who attends Babson College in Massachusetts and is majoring in Business Administration.
GRUPO ATLANTICO STEM SCHOLARSHIP
Grupo Atlantico Board Member presented the STEM Scholarship to Michelle Sanchez who attends UMSL as a graduate student and is studying Biology with a goal of achieving her Ph.D. program and become an animal behavior researcher.
Board Member Carlos Cuartas presented the Carlos & Michelle Cuartas Scholarship to Claudia Romero who is attending STLCC and majoring in Early Childcare and Education. Her goal is to become a teacher.

On May 18th, 2014, HECSF organized the 'Hispanic Family Day at the Ballpark' fundraiser to benefit its scholarship fund. That day, we visited with the Cardinals players and took pictures with Fred Bird at the field of Busch Stadium. Board Member Guillermo Rodriguez presented the 'Guillermo Rodriguez Santos & Ana Maria Barcelo Memorial Scholarship' to Araceli Mora who is a freshman at Webster University and will major in Business and Entrepreneurship. She was unable to attend so we accepted the scholarship on her behalf. The picture was unavailable, so we used one from a the Hispanic Arts Council of St. Louis 'John F. Garganigo Scholarship' she received in April this year.
